First Winter:

September 28th 2004: still mostly in juvenile plumage.
4 shots of the bird standing, and doing a stretch.

December 28th 2004
2 flying shots, showing the upperside and underside of the bird.

January 7th 2005: fairly heavily marked.
Two shots of the bird in flight.

January 9th 2005: a bit paler and crisper.
3 shots. Above, Below and Standing.

January 10th 2005: possibly the same bird as above.
1 shot with wings raised.

February 10th 2005: a bulky bird with a few dark feathers showing on the mantle.
1 shot of the bird standing.

February 25th 2005: a rather pale/worn bird.
2 shots. 1 eating a duck and 1 flying away.

 

 

Second Winter:

July 15th 2007: sitting on the beach

July 17th 2007: Bananna bill
One standing, one flying

January 7th 2005: very little dark mantle feathers, and a distinctive bill structure.
