December 11th 2008 - Waterdown, ON - this bird could very well just be a strange Herring Gull, or a back-cross...
4th Winter/Adult:
September 6th 2006 a molting adult - Point Pelee, ON
November 21st 2009 two "record" shots from the Niagara River, ON
November 21st 2008 a stunning adult, seemingly perfectly intermediate between the presumed parent species. Waterdown, ON
November 24th 2008 a different adult, darker yet more Herring like in structure, only 3 days after the above bird. Waterdown, ON
December 5th 2008 a distant adult, perhaps the bird from Nov 24, 2008 - but I cant tell for sure... Waterdown, ON
January 3rd 2008 a distant and poor shot of this swimming adult. Hamilton, ON
