Black-capped Petrel
September 27th, 2003

Waverly Beach, Fort Erie

My dad found this dead bird along the beach, while we were watching for storm blown birds from Hurricane Isabel which passed 1 week earlier. Dispite pouring rain and very strong winds, we couldn't find anything unusual that was alive (unfortunatley) however it was still a very exciting day.

This bird ended up being a male, and now resides as a specimin at the Royal Ontario Museum. (With a Spread Wing).
